NFC TAGS

Embedded NFC Tags

Many of our products can be made with an embedded Near Field Communication (NFC) chip which allows information to be transferred to (NFC-compatible) mobile devices with just a tap.  The chip is contained on a tag that is hidden just below the surface of an item.  The tags are customer-writable meaning that you can program the chip to contain the information you chose (using a free app).


An example of usage is the tags we embed in awards/trophies behind the nameplate.  This allows a person to add a web link to the winning team’s website or an individual’s social media page.  It can also be used by the event promoter to add event information to each award. 

 

Although tags can easily be reprogrammed by anyone with an app, they can also be password-protected to keep unauthorized users from making any further changes to the information.
